Manchester United is still through to the round of 16, however, the top spot in the group is not at stake.
Daily Mirror:
“Cuckoo shock”
“Late goal denies United”
and down here we have:
“Everton fury at two-match ban”
“The law is a Niasse”
“Oumar dive ruling ‘dangerous’ to the game says, Unsworth”
The Everton striker Oumar Niasse is the first Premier League player to be banned for “cheating” by diving.
The FA stated:
“Everton’s Oumar Niasse will serve a two-match suspension with immediate effect after his denial of an FA charge of successful deception of a match official was rejected.”
“It was alleged he committed an act of simulation which led to a penalty being awarded in the fifth minute of the game against Crystal Palace.
“He denied the charge. However, it was found proven following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing.”
And of course, the club was outraged by this and the coach David Unsworth said:
“I think these people [the FA] will be very busy,”
“It’s a dangerous precedent that could be set if decisions are given against you which are debatable.”
Italy:
Corriere Dello Sport:
“Juve, you’re there!”

They could even reach the Round of 16 with a loss in Athens.”
“Roma fall”

Tuttosport:
“What if 4-4-2 was the right system? Only the real Juve will know”

“An imperial stop from Ter Stegen qualifies Barça to the second round of the Champions League as first in their group.”
“Leo Messi started the game on the bench and Valverde switched him on in the 55th minute with Mestalla on his mind”
There is a big game waiting for Barcelona this weekend against Valencia, and that’s what they are referring to, and can we talk about this for a second? The best goalkeeper in the world?
They have to be talking about Buffon right, but it doesn’t seem like it. Is Ter Stegen the best goalkeeper in the world? let me know what you think about that.
France:
L’Equipe:
“Paris is a party”
“Beautifully led by Neymar (two goals and a decisive pass), the Parisians with the biggest win in their Champions League history. Only a defeat by at least four goals against Bayern on the last day can prevent them from finishing first in the group.”
RMC:
“PSG-Celtic: Paris sends another strong message to Europe”
“PSG atomized Celtic at Wednesday night at the Parc des Princes. Led by an excellent Neymar, the players of the capital won 7-1 in front of their home crowd. A demonstration that places them in an ideal position to finish first in Group B.”
Germany:
Kicker:
Kicker in Germany who have switched the colours of the two Ruhr clubs with each other:
“Will blue become the new yellow?”
“The Dortmund – Schalke Derby: A Change of power is possible!”
The Ruhr area in Germany is a giant polycentric urban are with a bunch of big cities, such as Dortmund, Essen, Bochum, and Gelsenkirchen where Schalke is from.
And as you may already know, Borussia Dortmund have been the biggest club in this area for the last 8 years.
Schalke is currently in 2nd place while Dortmund is in 5th place with 3 points margin. And if Schalke wins, that gap will be six points and with Dortmund in bad shape at the moment that gap could grow even bigger.
Fussball Bild:
“Bosz in front”
“The frustration is written in his face: The BVB coach Peter Bosz has remained sleepless after his last five games”
“Dortmund is in crisis before the derby against Schalke. It shows more and more: The Dutch coach Peter Bosz was the wrong choice”
Aw, this was a very nice post. In thought I would like to put in writing like this additionally – taking time and actual effort to make a very good article… however what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no means appear to get one thing done.
